We found a local restaurant. It was in such demand, that we had to wait outside like these diners.
Up early AGAIN. Rob thought that we were being picked up at 9:00am but while we were eating dinner, our guide contacted him to say that she would pick us up at 6:45 AM.
Can you see the shock on his face? When does it end?? It almost ruined his dinner!!We sent Rob home to bed, and Amy and I enjoyed a few moments at a poetry reading venue. Our guide Shaly is Amy’s new friend. She was very good. Her main job is teaching preschool. This plant is iridescent. It starts as green and then turns blue in the late afternoon. When one sees the green side of the leaf, no rain.If the leaves turn over and are light silver, rain is on its way. This plant was used to predict storms before weather apps.Falling Rock!!!!Rocks aren’t the only things that fall in the rainforest. This is right before I fell down at the very beginning on our hike. I lost my balance on the slippery rocks. I landed on my knee and scraped my shoulder. Still I continued since a water slide, cliff jump, and rope swing were the next events.Rob, are you ready?Amy, are you ready?Brenda…Brenda…what are you doing?BEFOREAFTERIs this Ariel? Is this Ariel? Will the real Ariel please stand up?
Rob rocked the water slide. He wanted to go again … except it would take another hour to go back up!!
It’s Brenda’s turn! Every time that I go down a water slide be it plastic or rock, my butt gets stuck. Scooch!!
Next is cliff jumping!
I don’t have good upper body strength. I was supposed to hold on but let go early due to a rope burn!!
We have had our fun despite all the blood and bruises!!
Now we head to Luquillo Beach where there are 60 food stalls.
The stalls each have numbers. Shaly recommended #38, especially the fried cheese. While we were waiting for our cheese, a woman came to the window to ask if we wanted buy a cake from her. Amy made her day.We went to find some exotic fruit juice. We didn’t know that she would put it in an exotic cup!Another cute restaurant in downtown San Juan. These words are a song from Bad Bunny’s recent album release. He is sure to sing DtMF during the halftime show at the Super Bowl.
