Friday, January 26, 2024: Day 354

After a bus ride to Wellington, we checked into a fancy hotel in the Central Business District (CBD). It seems that every city has a CBD.

We ate at an Asian food restaurant and I was intrigued by her pink butterfly iPad holder. The wings came out to balance on a table.
Ever had a Vonut? That’s a vegan donut. It tasted like … a donut!!
The cable car to the top of Wellington is free … if you are a dog!!
Once at the top of Wellington, one walks down through the Botanical Gardens which had EVERYTHING that grows. This was a tall straight pine.
I am not sure how the blind are able to locate these posts. However, I am sure that they enjoy the Fragrance Garden.
Artichokes are related to thistle but artichokes are so delicious. However, I have never tasted a thistle. These bees share my taste buds.
Flowers that are red are the most attractive to bees so I imagine that the bees prefer the red on this box.
An unfortunate last name.
At the bottom of the Botanical Gardens there was an outdoor music concert featuring the New Zealand String Quartet that played Vivaldi’s Summer.
Here’s a way to watch the concert. A little Twister between sets?
