February 15, 2026: British Virgin Islands

We arrived early in the morning at our last stop, Tortola of the British Virgin Islands.

There was a rain shower in the early hours. We were happy to see a rainbow!!

New Life Baptist Church was having a 10-year celebration.

I love an outdoor church service.

Rob didn’t bring his earplugs so he asked me to dance up to the stage with four stacked speakers full blast to deposit the offering.

There was a lot of singing or maybe even close to yelling. We knew some of the songs from our church. Whenever a speaker would say something that remotely sounded like a song lyric, the choir would stand up and respond…

To God be the glory….and the choir would commence with 🎶 🎶 🎶 Great Things He hath done …🎶🎶🎶

Next they called up the Dance Ministry to bless our hearts.

I decided to put Rob out of his audio misery, and we left to explore the island as it was a short and last stop on our  agenda tour of the Caribbean Islands.

We started to take the BIG three at all times:

  • Sunhat
  • Sunglasses
  • Ear plugs

Don’t leave your room without them.

Is this a hospital for sick plants??
This plant called cocoplum was very unusual. The red new growth comes from the middle of the two leaves.
This is analogous to our Capital Building and Supreme Court Building.
At this water well the proclamation for the emancipation of slavery was read.
Riddim/rhythm
Tomāto/tomato
The buildings are very colorful.
Even the final resting place.
