Caledonia Mountain Range was formed with a collision of two continental plates: the North American plate and Eurasian Plate.
Toilets in our room flush really loud due to a water and air system. Every time Rob flushes the toilet, he says “Howdy, Neighbor!” It always makes me laugh.
We think that we brought the hot temperatures with us from our previous travels. The crew said that it was quite unusual to have clear weather, smooth seas, and no rain.
However, we got to Bergen, and the rain began. Bergen averages 231 days of rain per year because it is situated among seven mountains. Today we are experiencing that rain.

Bergen is also so windy that police help people safely cross the street. Fortunately we were bused directly to the airport.

What’s your problem?
The following is a true story. If you laugh, I have told it well; if not, just chalk it up to you had to be there.
Every day we have a gathering to let the people on board know what to expect on excursions, ports, and points of interest. Since we have Norwegians, French, and Germans on board, they are often are briefed in different rooms. And sometimes people who speak more than one language will go to another time so that it fits their schedule. Most everyone can understand a little English.
Rob and I were separated and running late so we decided to meet at the gathering.
I ran into one of the rooms, and it was a full house. I scanned the room for Rob, and didn’t see him. I didn’t see any familiar English speaking acquaintances either as I quickly surveyed the room. I looked at the man sitting on the first chair and heard him speaking, but it didn’t register as English. He was looking at me and I was looking at him.
I asked, “Are you speaking English?” which was projected to the whole room as I was trying to decide if I was in the right room.
He answered, “Yes, what’s your problem?”
I burst out laughing as did three rows of English speakers.
I responded, “I guess that my husband is the problem because I can’t find him. I have a problem husband.”
I took my seat in the ENGLISH room and made a lot of friends with this comedy routine.
Many would come up to me later on and joke about my problem.
