Monday, March 4, 2024: Day 392 – The Last Resort

We left Moorea by ferry to Papeete, Tahiti.

Baggage retrieval is interesting. They roll out the cart. We all gather around.  You locate your bags and if your bag is on the bottom, it is best to wait.
Wow! What a view from the reception area of our hotel!
The Tahiti Intercontinental Resort and Spa is our last resort. We traveled to our room along with our baggage in these little blue trucks.
Our room was upgraded since Rob has greater status due to an IHG credit card. It cost $89 annually, but it includes one free night so it is a wash. He enjoys all the perks.
This beautiful resort for one night had an infinity pool, a lagoonarium, and many unusual trees.
This is one of the interesting tropical trees on the property.
A room with a view!
The pool has a sand floor and an infinity pool. Rob and I continued to hunt for aquatic life as we looked over the infinity pool and into the ocean. Colorful fish and busy crabs are fun to watch.
Who is watching who? Who is the best basker?
We were told that the sunset over Moorea was spectacular. It did not disappoint!
The sunset was magical. I asked the bellman where he goes for vacation if he lives and works in paradise. He said that he goes to one of the other 120 islands in French Polynesia.
