February 16, 2023 – Day 14 – City of Lakes

It was an early morning as we rose in time to view the sunrise at our camp. See the small cottages that we slept in.

Edward was deciding whether to go in the cold pool. He did get in.

We left Doongariya Khurs village and traveled to Udaipur, called the City of Lakes, where we soon took a boat ride on Swaroop Sagar Lake and Lake Pichola.

In the middle of Lake Pichola, we could see a former palace, now a 5-star hotel, called Taj Lake Palace. I wondered why we weren’t staying there.

Like Jaipur, Udaipur also has a City Palace.

Here is another view of the City Palace in Udaipur at sunset.

These dancers were good at balancing fire on their heads.

We walked past a wedding. There were also fireworks.

This was my room that night. We were switched to a different hotel. They didn’t have available rooms with twin beds. So we each got our own room. Sweet!
